Ether.fi will dissolve its final structural relationship with EigenLayer this quarter, with heavily pledged assets accounting for less than 1%

Text size

Odaily Planet Daily News The liquidity staking protocol Ether.fi will remove the last structural link with EigenLayer this quarter, and its heavily pledged assets will account for less than 1% by then. CEO Mike Silagadze stated that the reason for exiting was that the risk of heavy pledging still existed and there was no substantial benefit.

Heavy pledge currently protects US$10 billion in assets, but only generates US$99,977 in handling fees per week; calculated on a per dollar basis of protected assets, the income from ordinary liquidity staking is approximately 53 times that. The top five remaining liquid heavily collateralized tokens had a combined gross profit of $953,400 last quarter, down from $2.18 million three quarters ago. (CoinDesk)
